Elemental Republic was co-founded in 2012 by reclaimed wood pioneers, Erika Carpenter and Richard McFarland. It is the current expression of their life-long passion for reclaimed wood. They have been exploring and developing new uses for reclaimed wood, on multiple continents, for almost 30 years.

They are wanderers, activists and risk takers. They believe that every piece of wood re-used is a tree that isn't cut from an old-growth forest, every stone reclaimed is one less layer stripped from the quarry. They believe that these are pieces of history preserved, bits of soul reincarnated, parts of one culture touching another.
