In 2012, we acquired a structure that was originally constructed in 1929 as a warehouse for a Javanese tobacco company. It was built using the finest quality Teak of the colonial era. Huge round columns supported a 2nd story mezzanine deck held up by massive beams able to hold the weight of bales of curing tobacco. The cathedral like upper story was graced with elegant trusses spanning 12 meters.

We carefully dismantled the building and shipped the components by truck and boat to our warehouse on the neighboring island of Bali. Over the course of the next year, we painstakingly stripped the layers of paint, sanded the exquisite wood, carefully numbered the joints and prepared the structure for re-assembly.

The end result was a one of a kind building. An irreplaceable structure that was salvaged and reincarnated into a new life.
